What is the Panhellenic Council?
In ancient times, the term Panhellenic referred to a union of Greek states joined together for the purpose of carrying out common ideals and goals. All Greek women - all of whose aims are fundamentally similar - unite in Panhellenic to discourage unfair methods of competition and to ensure a respect for Greek life on a university campus.
The NDSU Panhellenic Council, the governing body for the NDSU Greek women, is comprised of delegates from all three NPC sororities represented at NDSU. This council, promoting cooperation and understanding, provides unity among the chapters. It sponsors scholarships and coordinates publicity for Greek life at NDSU. Recruitment, formals, all-sorority meal exchanges and Greek Week games and events are also sponsored by the NDSU Panhellenic Council.
